A most Prestigious day

The eLan Gold Cup is a day of celebration, lifestyle, fashion, food and horse racing at the Greyville Racecourse every July.

The eLAN Gold Cup over 3 200m has been run at Greyville since 1921 making this year’s event  the 99th running of this great race which for decades was the second most famous race in the country attracting country-wide interest and betting. It is a merit-rated handicap and a tough test of ability and stamina for horse and rider and only one horse, Highland Night, managed to win the race two years running early in the new century.

There will be a street food market that will serve a wide range of culinary options for more casual spectators that includes gourmet burgers, fancy waffles and an array of food to suit all tastes. Also available are fully catered VIP packages that are ideal for corporate hospitality, or for a more casual day, a picnic area which includes refreshments, entry tickets on the day with complimentary betting vouchers and a fantastic ambience for a fun day out with friends or clients.
